Substituted indoles. Lysergamides.

Lysergamides belong to a class of substituted indoles. These chemicals are derivatives of ergot fungus alkaloids. Ergot fungus is also known as genus Claviceps. First of all, these compounds are often serotonergic and dopaminergic agonists. In addition animal evidence suggests that lysergamides have medical application as treatments against Parkinson’s disease [1]. Furthermore, these chemicals strengthen axonal signaling and neural connectivity within the human brain [2]. However, these compounds are not available for in vivo research or consumption.
